Instructions

  1. Preparing the Dough: Warm the plant-based milk to a pleasantly warm temperature. Dissolve the active dry yeast and 1 tablespoon of the brown sugar in the warm milk. Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy. In a large bowl, combine the flour, remaining brown sugar, cinnamon, and natural gelling agent.
  2. Mixing Ingredients: Gradually add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients along with the softened plant-based butter, vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural), and vanilla extract (natural). Knead the dough by hand or with a mixer fitted with a dough hook until smooth and elastic.
  3. Letting the Dough Rise: Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm spot for 1 to 1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
  4. Rolling and Filling: Roll the risen dough out on a floured surface into a large rectangle. Spread the melted plant-based butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly across the surface. Starting from one edge, roll the dough tightly into a log.
