Description

Tender Sticky Beef Noodles combine juicy beef sirloin strips, smoky turkey bacon, and rice noodles coated in a perfectly balanced sweet and savory sticky sauce made with soy sauce (natural), brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and a natural gelling agent. This comforting dish delivers bold flavors and satisfying textures, finished with sesame oil and fresh green onions for a warm, flavorful meal any time.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 300g beef sirloin strips
  • 100g smoked turkey bacon, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 200g rice noodles
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (natural)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetarian Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp natural gelling agent
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips and cut the smoked turkey bacon into bite-sized pieces. Mince the garlic and chop the green onions. Soak the rice noodles according to package instructions until soft but not mushy.
  2. Cook Beef and Turkey Bacon: Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add a splash of sesame oil. Sauté the smoked turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and set aside. In the same pan, quickly sear the beef strips until browned but still tender.
  3. Make the Sticky Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce (natural), brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, vegetarian Worcestershire sauce, and the natural gelling agent. Pour this mixture into the pan with the beef and cook over low heat until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky.
  4. Toss in Noodles and Bacon: Add the softened rice noodles and crispy turkey bacon back to the pan. Gently toss everything to ensure the noodles are fully coated in the glossy, sticky sauce, absorbing all the rich flavors.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped green onions over the dish and drizzle a little extra sesame oil for aroma. Serve immediately while warm and enjoy the perfect balance of savory, sweet, and smoky flavors.

Notes

  • Choose tender cuts of beef like sirloin or ribeye for best results.
  • Do not over-soak the rice noodles; they should be tender but still hold their shape.
  • Simmer the sauce slowly on low heat to allow the natural gelling agent to thicken perfectly.
  • Taste and adjust the balance of brown sugar and apple cider vinegar before adding the noodles.
  • Cook turkey bacon separately to keep it crispy and add it last for texture contrast.
