Ingredients

Scale

Potstickers

  • 1215 veggie or chicken-filled potstickers
  • 1 tbsp oil for pan-frying

Smoked Turkey Bacon

  • 4 slices smoked turkey bacon, chopped

Vegetables and Greens

  • 2 cups mixed greens (spinach, arugula, romaine)
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 cup yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, chopped
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrots, thinly sliced or shredded

Dressing

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (natural)
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil (natural)
  • 1 tbsp honey (natural)
  • 1 tsp vegetarian Worcestershire sauce

Garnishes

  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • Optional: crushed red pepper flakes and extra chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potstickers: Pan-fry your chosen potstickers in a nonstick skillet with a splash of oil over medium heat until they are golden and crispy on all sides, ensuring an even crunch without overcrowding the pan.
  2. Cook the Smoked Turkey Bacon: In the same pan, lightly fry the smoked turkey bacon slices until they crisp and release their smoky aroma. Remove and chop into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Chop and Prepare Vegetables: While cooking, wash and chop the mixed greens, bell peppers, cucumber, green onions, and carrots into bite-sized pieces to ensure easy eating and attractive presentation.
  4. Make the Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce (natural), apple cider vinegar, sesame oil (natural), honey (natural), and vegetarian Worcestershire sauce. Adjust the balance of vinegar and sweetness to your taste preference.
  5. Assemble the Salad: In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens and chopped vegetables. Toss them with the dressing until lightly coated. Top the salad with the crispy potstickers, chopped smoked turkey bacon, and toasted sesame seeds. Garnish with extra sesame seeds, chopped green onions, or crushed red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

  • Cook potstickers on medium heat and avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure uniform crispiness.
  • Adjust the dressing to suit your taste by varying the vinegar and honey amounts.
  • Chop vegetables in advance to save on prep time.
  • Use fresh mixed greens for a crisp and refreshing salad.
  • Add potstickers just before serving to maintain their crunch.
